Health and Safety

The health, safety and wellbeing of all children in our care is our highest priority. We maintain comprehensive health and safety policies that are regularly reviewed and updated.

Medication

We can only administer medication that has been prescribed by a doctor. All medication must be provided in its original container with clear instructions. A medication consent form must be completed.

Allergies and Medical Conditions

Please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special requirements your child has. We will work with you to create an appropriate care plan.

Accidents and Incidents

All accidents and incidents are recorded in our accident book. Parents are informed of any accident involving their child and asked to sign the record.

Security

We operate a secure entry system. All visitors must sign in and out and wear identification while on the premises. Collection of children is only permitted by authorised persons.

Behaviour Management

We promote positive behaviour through praise, encouragement, and setting clear boundaries. Our approach focuses on teaching children appropriate behaviour rather than punishment.

Our Approach

  • We model positive behaviour and communication
  • We explain clear and consistent boundaries
  • We use distraction and redirection for younger children
  • We help children understand the consequences of their actions

Unacceptable Behaviour

In cases of persistent unacceptable behaviour, we will work with parents to develop a consistent approach between home and nursery. In extreme cases, we reserve the right to exclude a child from the nursery.
